On August 12th, the 2024 World Youth Development Forum will open in Beijing. The theme of this forum is "Together for a Better Future". It is co-hosted by the All-China Youth Federation, United Nations in China and the Organizing Committee of the World Youth Development Forum.

The forum will invite the heads of United Nations agencies, ministers for youth affairs, youth leaders and youth representatives from all walks of life to participate. In addition to Beijing, 4 Thematic Forums for Green Development, Youth Development-oriented Cities, Digital Development, Cultural Inheritance and Innovation will be held in Nanning, Hangzhou, Chongqing, and Changsha, respectively.

Responding to President Xi Jinping’s initiative at the High-level Dialogue on Global Development in 2022, the World Youth Development Forum is an important measure to pool youth strength to implement the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Global Development Initiative, and an important platform where young people worldwide can contribute to global development and global efforts are gathered to promote youth development. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to the first World Youth Development Forum in July 2022.
