"I hope to become more deeply involved in research and promotional activities," said John Mauro Q. Manuel, who is only 33 years old. John hails from Napoto, Cagayan Province, Philippines, and serves as the Coordinator for the Graduate School of Cagayan State University. In an effort to improve the local educational environment, he founded the I-SAVED Youth Organization in 2016 and initiated the "Each One, Teach One" project in his area. This project aims to support economically disadvantaged youth in the Cagayan region in pursuing their dreams.

On October 15, the Asia-Pacific Youth Development Forum (APYDF) 2024 opened at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
